It has an unusual scrolled carved back above a rectangular beautifully figured top with decorative carved frieze. The bookcase comes with three adjustable shelves and the sides on this wonderful piece have quality carved Corinthian capitals and moulded column sides. It also benefits from the original backboards. The piece stands on a shaped moulded plinth and the walnut is a rich shade with a striking grain, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
