Early 19th Century Small French Kingwood Bookcase

An early 19th century French Kingwood bookcase of small proportions with unusual glazed door.

The top section of the bookcase consists of a moulded cornice leading down to a single door with a key.

The door consists of Kingwood cross banding and has unusual decorative glazing of both glass and mirror plate, the interior has two adjustable shelves.

The lower section has canted corners with a single drawer, the front being of Kingwood quarter veneer with two decorative knobs.

The two doors below have a moulding which frames the Kingwood quarter veneer, the interior having one shelf, leading down to a moulded plinth.

This piece could also be used as a display cabinet.

This bookcase is in excellent original condition, is of stable construction and can go straight into a home.
