Description

Circa 1880, good pair of Gothic revival pitch pine open bookcases. The shaped stylish cornice with protruding shaped ends over four solid adjustable shelves with chamfered edges. The back and gables are also pitch pine. Beneath the bottom shelf is a small arch and a protruding flat section. On the base is one single solid shelf. The side on the base has tongue and grooved panels, and the whole piece stands on raised concave feet. The bookcases have a wonderful warm honey colour and are very sturdy and functional.

Size 220cm high x 105cm wide x 54cm deep.
