Quality Victorian Mahogany Antique Open Bookcase On Cupboard

This Quality Victorian Mahogany Antique Open Bookcase On Cupboard circa, 1890 has a small moulded cornice above an open front with three removable shelves. The lower section has a rectangular moulded top above two beautifully figured cupboard doors with reeded clash mould and key with working lock. The interior has two removable shelves and this wonderful antique stands on a plain plinth, splits into two for easy removal and also benefits from maintaining the original backboards. The mahogany has aged to a rich warm shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
