RARE VICTORIAN HEAVY SOLID SILVER FRONT OPENING VESTA CASE, J.H. TAYLOR, CHESTER 1884
This is a rare front opening vesta chest made in heavy gauge solid silver by J.H. Taylor. It has a solidly made sprung opening mechanism which ensures that it opens and clicks shut very nicely. It has hallmarks (slightly rubbed) for Chester 1884 and clear a maker’s mark for J.H. Taylor.
Condition:
In good condition (see photos). There are some slight dings to the front and the lid (see last photo). The lid opens and closes nicely.
Weight: 31.53 grams approx.
Measurements: 46.5 x 26 x 17 mm approx.
