Description

Antique Large Bow Front Astragal Glazed Bookcase.

This is a beautiful, English antique display / bookcase that is excellent quality throughout.

A very unusual antique bookcase as the central doors are bowed and have bowed glass, as do the side doors above the solid curved cupboards.

Elegant proportions and decorated with fine dentil mouldings in the cornice, reeded columns and those wonderful, astragal glazed doors.

All the glass is period, lovely, old and wobbly.

In a cream paint finish, this large sacle antique bookcase splits into convienent sections for ease of transportation and installation.

Dating from around 1900, the bookcase or display cabinet has four adjustable shelves to centre and five to each side cupboard.

In very good condition throughout, a very special Edwardian antique astragal glazed bookcase in large, impressive proportions.
