This Mellow Mahogany Antique Glazed Victorian Bookcase On Cupboard dates from around 1870. It has a moulded cornice above two glazed doors with moulded edges and key with working lock. The interior has three adjustable shelves ideal for the storage of books. The lower section has a half round moulded edge above a beautifully figured frieze drawer and has two cupboard doors with moulded edges and beautifully figured central panels, the interior has one fixed shelf.
. The mahogany has aged to a mellow shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
