This Breath Taking Inlaid Edwardian Antique Glazed Bookcase On Cupboard circa, 1900 has been constructed from the finest quality mahogany timbers and retains several makers stamps D and H Waddington Bolton, showing a true sign of quality.
The interior splits into two sections and each side has three adjustable shelves. The lower section has a beautifully figured moulded top above two drawers with the original brass handles. The two cupboard doors are beautifully inlaid with central quarter veneered satinwood panels and key with working lock. Each interior has one removable shelf and this impressive piece stands on ogee bracket feet with a shaped apron it has also been finished with an ornate shell carving. This sensational bookcase is in flawless condition and is a wonderful example of how amazing an original antique can look. It splits into two sections and benefits from the original backboards. The mahogany has aged to a warm rich shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
