Spectacular Quality Figured Mahogany Victorian Antique Bookcase On Cupboard

Dating from around 1860 in the Victorian period this Spectacular Quality Figured Mahogany Antique Bookcase On Cupboard has a curved moulded cornice above two glazed doors with arched mouldings and moulded glazing bars, key with working lock. The interior has three adjustable shelves. The lower section has a beautifully figured serpentine shaped top above a mahogany lined frieze drawer and two beautifully figured cupboard doors with arched mouldings and key with working lock and the interior has one removable shelf. This spectacular antique boasts magnificent carved corbels and stands on a plain plinth and also splits into two sections for easy removal. The mahogany has aged to a medium warm shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
