A fine quality antique mahogany bookcase and in the Chippendale style. From the top with the egg and dart moulded cornice above a frieze carved with scrolled acanthus leaves. The larger top doors have beautiful astragal glazing,(important to mention that all the glass is bevel edged and looks ten times better in the flesh) the lower doors have the same brass central strip as the doors above and have deeply carved with ogee bevelled edges. The base has a well shaped apron with carved moulding and set upon short cabriole legs with ball and claw feet. The whole has been re-polished in our workshops and is in excellent condition with working locks.
