Description

This is a stunning French Rosewood bookcase, with beautiful veneers and superb craftsmanship. The antique finish is bright with a mellow patina and the quality of the carving is exceptional. C 1880

Recently purchased from a country house in the South of France, this bookcase has undergone only light restoration and polishing.

There are 5 substantial and fully adjustable rosewood fronted shelves, giving good depth and plenty of book storage space. The single door retains its original bevelled glass.

The carving and decoration is all hand carved to an exceptional standard and further enhanced by the polished finish. The entire Bookcase breaks down for ease of movement.
