Quality Victorian Oak Antique Glazed Bookcase On Cupboard

This Quality Victorian Oak Antique Glazed Bookcase On Cupboard circa, 1880 has a moulded cornice above two glazed doors with moulded edged and key with working lock. The interior comprises of three adjustable shelves and the sides have decorative carvings. The lower section has a rectangular moulded top with canted corners above a mahogany lined drawer with the original brass handles and decorative carvings. The two cupboard doors have raised fielded panels with quality decorative carved panels which can only be the work of a true Victorian craftsman. The interior has one central removable shelf and a working lock.. This splendid bookcase stands on a plain moulded plinth and splits into two sections for easy removal. The Oak has aged to a warm, light shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
