Description

Handsome mid 19th.c. Welsh glazed display bookcase or kitchen display c.1850. Known locally as a cwpwrdd gwydr, this was a type created by North Wales cabinet makers in the mid 19th.c as they updated the design of the traditional Welsh dresser. Typical of the form it has a glazed top and cupboard base each with two working doors either side of fixed centre panels. Featuring adjustable shelves and three useful drawers in the waist. Of superior quality with carved corbels, shaped drawer fronts, solid mahogany sides and door panels. Excellent condition. Keys supplied.

Dimensions: width 69", depth 21", height 87".
