.The interior has three adjustable shelves, whilst the lower section has a rectangular moulded top above two mahogany lined drawers with the original Arts and Crafts brass handles. The two cupboard doors have raised fielded panels, the upper one being beautifully carved showing the work of a true Victorian craftsman and also has the key with working lock. The interior has one removable shelf and also has a makers / retailers stamp John Coates and Son - Sunderland. The sides on this wonderful antique are reeded, it stands on shaped bracket feet and splits into two sections for easy removal. The walnut has aged to a warm medium shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
