Circa 1900, very stylish oak open bookcase by Wylie & Lochhead Glasgow.
Beneath the top is an apron with a Greek key pattern which has been carved in the style of blind fretwork, and a beaded edge. There are two solid oak shelves with moulded edges, and a polished tongue and groove back. All standing on bracket feet, which have a slight kick at the front. Excellent colour and condition. There is a small metal makers label for ‘Wylie & Lochhead Ltd, 45 Buchanan Street, Glasgow’ pinned onto the back.
Size 105cm high x 92cm wide x 27cm deep.
