Unusual Pair Of Victorian Mahogany Antique Bookcases

These Unusual Pair Of Victorian Mahogany Antique Bookcases circa, 1900 are of unusual small proportions. Each have a moulded cornice above a frieze with decorative thumb mouldings and circular floral motifs. Each door has astragal glazing and key with working locks. Each interior has three adjustable shelves, whilst the lower section has a rectangular moulded top above a beautifully figured cupboard door again with the delightful floral motifs. Each interior has one fixed shelf. They stand on shaped bracket feet and split into two sections for easy removal. These fine pieces would compliment any home and are very unusual being a matching pair. The Mahogany has aged to a rich medium shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.

Depth: 45cm / 17.5 inches
