Stunning Quality Victorian Antique Glazed Mahogany Bookcase

This Stunning Quality Victorian Glazed Mahogany Bookcase circa, 1880 has been constructed from the finest quality Figured Mahogany timbers. This striking bookcase has a rectangular moulded top above a deep frieze with beautifully feathered mahogany figuring. The two glazed doors have moulded edges with key with working lock. The interior has three solid mahogany adjustable shelves, the sides are reeded and this quality piece stands on a moulded plinth and retains the original mahogany backboards. The Mahogany has aged to a rich medium shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
