Quality Solid Oak Victorian Antique Bookcase On Cupboard

This Quality Solid Oak Victorian Antique Bookcase On Cupboard circa, 1880 is a fine example of the work of a true Victorian craftsman and is constructed from the finest quality oak timbers. The top section has a decorative moulded carved cornice above two glazed doors, arched mouldings and decorative carvings with the original brass handles. ( one of the brass handles has a slight piece missing ) The interior comprises of three adjustable shelves. The lower section has a wonderful solid oak moulded top above two oak lined drawers with moulded edge again with the original handles. The two cupboard doors have two central raised fielded panels which have been beautifully carved and the interior has one fixed shelf and stands majestically on a moulded plinth. This quality antique splits into two sections for easy removal. The Oak has aged to a warm golden shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
