constructed from the finest quality timbers this magnificent bookcase has a moulded cornice above a central glazed door with arched mouldings and key with working lock. The interior comprises of three adjustable shelves and each corner has spectacular carved corbels. The base of the bookcase has a rectangular top with rounded corners above a mahogany lined frieze drawer and beautifully figured cupboard door ,again with key with working lock. The interior has a fixed shelf and unusual pull out drawer that would be ideal to store those special bottles of wine . This antique stands majestically on a plain rounded plinth and has the original backboards, it also splits into two sections for easy removal. The mahogany has aged to a rich medium shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
