Solid Oak Antique Edwardian Bookcase on Cupboard

Dating from around 1910 this beautiful and desirable antique bookcase on cupboard is a quality example of Edwardian furniture. This lovely bookcase is of unusual small proportions and has a moulded cornice with dental moulding above two fixed shelves. The lower section has a rectangular moulded top above two drawers with brass lion head handles .The two cupboard doors have raised fielded panels which are beautifully figured and again have a brass lion head handle. The interior has one removable shelf and stands on a moulded plinth. This wonderful bookcase splits into two sections for easy removal. The oak is finished to a golden shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
