Antique Walnut Edwardian Glazed Bookcase

This beautiful antique walnut glazed bookcase dates from around 1900 and has been fully restored. It has a moulded cornice with dental moulding above two astragal glazed doors with key and working lock. The interior has two removable shelves. The lower section has a decorative moulded edge over two drawers below which can then be found two cupboard doors, again with key and working lock. The interior of the cupboard contains a single removable shelf. The bookcase stands on shaped bracket feet and is in a lovely condition having been fully restored at some point, definitely one for the antiques enthusiast who prefers a 'cleaner' looking piece. The walnut is a rich medium shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
