Inlaid Antique Edwardian Walnut Open Bookcase

Dating from around 1900 in the Edwardian period this antique walnut open bookcase has been finished with a decorative inlay. It comprises of three adjustable shelves and stands on bracket feet with a shaped apron spanning the width at the base. The rectangular moulded top displays figured walnut banding with boxwood and ebony string inlay. All the edges are also beautifully cross banded. The walnut is a warm medium shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
