Golden Oak Antique Victorian Glazed Bookcase on Cupboard

This striking antique glazed bookcase on cupboard is made from a beautiful golden oak and dates from the Victorian period, circa 1900. It has a moulded cornice above two glazed doors which have a key with working lock. The interior of the bookcase contains a total of three adjustable shelves. The lower section has a rectangular moulded top over two mahogany lined drawers with attractive original Arts & Crafts style brass handles. The cupboard itself has two doors with moulded edges with an interior that sports a single fixed shelf. The bookcase stands on a plain plinth and splits into two sections for ease of removal. The oak is a wonderful golden shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
