Description

Large Victorian Walnut Antique Open Bookcase

Dating from around 1890 this antique Victorian open bookcase is constructed from walnut and provides ample storage for a book collection. It has a beautifully figured rectangular moulded top over three adjustable shelves. The front is framed by reeded sides while the piece sits on a moulded plinth. It retains its original back boards and the walnut has aged to a warm medium shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.

Approx. dimensions are:

Height: 123cm / 48½"

Width: 118cm / 46½"

Depth: 36cm / 14"
