Victorian Mahogany Antique Open Bookcase

Dating from the Victorian period, circa 1870, this antique mahogany open bookcase is full of charm and character. The rectangular moulded top sits above three adjustable shelves while the whole piece sits on a plain plinth and still owns its original back boards. This simple but stylish bookcase offers useful storage for any bibliophile and has the charm and character of a true antique. It is a rich medium shade of mahogany with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
