Description

As part of our oriental collection we are delighted to offer this most unusual and fine quality Chinese silver ice bucket complete with strainer and tongs , this great bucket is finished in a hammered finish throughout ,the main body is then set with bamboo in relief highlighted by a green enamel finish to the leafs and shoots , there is a plain central cartouche to the front and an exquisite ribbed top border , the plain simple handle of the bucket swings from two side lugs , the tongs match the bucket and inside sits a pull out strainer , the bucket and tongs are fully hallmarked with silver a seal and the makers name Zeehung prominent in Shanghai during the early to mid 1900's .

The condition is used but fabulous throughout being made of heavy gauge silver there are no dinks or dents to the body and just the expected light silver scratches to the underside and interior , a great find for use on special occasions or to add to your oriental collection!
