Magnificent Large Japanese Silver Vase - Seika Signed

1900 - 1920
Description

As part of our oriental collection we are delighted to offer this large and impressive Japanese solid silver fully hallmarked vase from the late Meiji early Taisho period , the vase weighs in at almost 50 ounces and is hand hammered throughout in a fine simple style , the opposing panels simply show a cob of corn in high relief and the most fabulous detail.

A really wonderful piece of Japanese art !!

The condition is superb throughout ,with a pre 1928 jungen mark for pure silver and a signature that we believe reads Seika, hardwood base for display purposes only.
