Edwardian Mahogany Antique Glazed Bookcase on Cupboard

This Edwardian antique mahogany glazed bookcase on cupboard has a certain refined elegance and dates from around 1900. The moulded cornice sits above two astragal glazed doors with key and working lock. The interior contains three adjustable shelves. The base has a rectangular moulded top above two cupboard doors which display attractive quarter veneered panels along with boxwood string inlay edges. The interior of the cupboard itself contains just one removable shelf. The piece stands on four tapering legs, finished with spade feet, and splits into two sections for ease of removal? The bookcase is a medium shade of mahogany with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
