Description

This is a most attractive mahogany georgian style library bookcase. English c 1890.

The bookcase top has gothic style glazing with all the original glass. The interior is regency blue with three substantial adjustable shelves.

The base of this bookcase stands on georgian style bracket feet. Above, there are 2 doors enclosing a single shelf. There are 2 solid, smoothly running and beautifully made drawers with brass handles. There are brass door strips both top and bottom and a working key.

All in all, a super mahogany bookcase with plenty of book and storage space, and with a most stunning mellow antique patination.
