It has a rectangular top with moulded edge above three adjustable shelves, and sits on a moulded plinth. It still has its original tongue and grove back boards and has an antiqued paint finish, the interior contrasting well with the casing. It is a very practical antique bookcase and would suit not only a period property but also a modern home with a twist. The paint finish, is in very good condition and has been beautifully finished using a traditional form of wax finishing.
