Driscolls Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1890s.
It has a rectangular top above two adjustable shelves which are finished with an interesting stud trim to the edges. The sides are reeded and the whole piece stands on a plain plinth. It still benefits from the original back boards and is full of the charm and character expected in an antique. It has a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
