Fabulous Large Antique Oak Astragal Bookcase

1900 - 1920
Description

Fabulous Large Antique Oak Astragal Bookcase.

This is a superb quality made, solid oak bookcase of impressive proportions.

Originally made around 1900 for the Royal Grammar School in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

The top bookcase section has six astragal doors with two adjustable shelves behind.

The base section has six solid oak doors which all have a raised panel, inside the base are two fixed shelves and a period paper label with the schools details.

This antique oak bookcase is a great piece, very good quality throughout, well chosen timber and a lovely colour.

Now in Miles Griffiths antiques showrooms in Clitheroe, Lancashire.

Height: 213cm (83.86")

Width: 322cm (126.77")

Depth: 48cm (18.9")

Additional Information: The base is 48cm deep and 90cm high. The 322cm wide measurement is at cornice.
