It has a shaped pediment above a rectangular top below which sit two glazed drawers with key, working lock and rounded clash mould. The interior has two fixed shelves and the piece stands on a plain plinth. This antique bookcase has practical proportions in a lovely shade of mellow mahogany. It has a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
