William IV Mahogany 4 Door Bookcase

Description

Circa 1830, William IV mahogany four door inverted front bookcase. The bookcase has an architecturally stylish pediment in the centre, with flamed mahogany veneers. On each of the wings are two glazed doors which are taller than the centre, and the bookcase has simple vertical astragal bars. Inside each door are adjustable shelves. There are stylish capitols on the tops of the doors and these repeat on the base as well. The base has four solid doors with mahogany panels, and stands on a mahogany enclosed plinth. The bookcase has been re-polished and has the original panelled back, and breaks down into several pieces for ease of movement.

Size approximately 247cm high x 270cm wide x 42cm deep.

Most items include delivery anywhere in the UK mainland.
