Late Victorian Oak 3 Door Bookcase

19th century
Description

Circa 1890, late Victorian oak 3 door flat front bookcase. The bookcase has simple cornice, and below this are 3 glazed doors. Between the doors there are pilasters with a stylish foliate carving on them. Inside there are various shelves which are adjustable. There is a large flat surface and below this are 3 carved drawers which have cast brass handles, and again a carved section and fluted pilasters which run down the front of the bookcase. The liners of the drawers are ash indicating that the bookcase is Scottish. There are 3 solid oak cupboard doors below with carved panels with heraldic shields on each of the doors. Inside is a single shelf and the bookcase stands on an enclosed plinth.

Size 217cm high x 191cm wide x 57cm deep.

Most items include delivery anywhere in the UK mainland.
