Georgian Antiques has dated this piece to the 1860s.
There is a moulded edge which is made in matching walnut. Below this is a shaped apron which has matching veneers and a chamfered edge which is crossbanded in rosewood. There are finely cast capitals coming from the fore edge and ormolu mounts below the top, which run around the gables as well. The gables are shaped and have matching veneers which are angled to each other. There are 2 adjustable shelves which are crossbanded and polished. At the bottom the ormolu mount continues around the front and sides, and the whole piece stands on a stylish shaped base.
Size 95cm high x 73cm wide x 34cm deep.
