Exhibition Quality Mahogany Bookcase by Whytock & Reid

1900 - 1920
Description

Circa 1920, exhibition quality mahogany bookcase by Whytock & Reid of Edinburgh. The top section has wonderful figured mahogany surrounded by a three quarter wrap around gallery with various open fretwork. The front of the gallery tapers and is shaped. Below the top section is a small frieze and two open sections both with two adjustable shelves. The fore edges on the left and right are chamfered and have crossbanded veneers. The base has a small stylised apron and the bookcase stands on four classic Whytock & Reid pad feet. This is a wonderful example of Whytock & Reid furniture.

Size 86cm high x 107cm wide x 25cm deep.

Most items include delivery anywhere in the UK mainland.
