Description

Lovely pair Antique Early Victorian Country Oak Bookcases and dating from aorund 1840. They have a moulded edge to the top above a moulded frieze and with carved leaf to each side. There are two original oak adjustable shelves and they are moulded to the base and stand on shaped bracket feet. They have there original pit sawn oak plank backs and are hand and peg joined.

Each bookcase measures: 43" high x 12" deep x 49" wide x internal depth 8.3/4"

In very good condition with a lovely deep colour and patination to the oak having been cleaned using a traditional wax polish and oozing all the charm and character of the period.
