Castleforge Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the 1890s.
The base has a moulded edge to the top with a carved secretaire drawer front with lovely brass angelika kauffman handles. The drawer front folds down to reveal a beautiful interior of walnut and ebony with a long central drawer with four pigeoin holes above with walnut frieze and then three short drawers to either side all of which have ebony knob handles and with a faux leather embossed writing skiver.

Below this there are two beautifully carved fielded panelled doors with ornate brass handle and working key and with internal shelf and it stands on a deep plinth base.
The top separates from the base for ease of transporting.

Measures: 95" high X height to top of base 42" X 20" deep X internal depth (top) 10.5" X 49" wide X desk height 29"
