Antique Victorian Art Nouveau Mahogany Bureau Bookcase Secretaire C1890 Wemd6/30.8

Antique victorian art nouveau mahogany bureau bookcase secretaire and dating from around 1890. It has a caddy top above two glazed doors with three adjustable shelves and over a panelled front with carved central panel and brass escutcheon and working key which drops down to reveal a lovely desk interior with central letter rack and pen tray to either side of which are four arched pigeon holes with a long drawer below. It has an embossed tooled leatherette writing surface. To the base there are two mahogany lined drawers with brass handles above two incised carved panelled doors with internal shelf and it stands on stylised feet. The top separates from the base for ease of transporting.

Measures: 84" high X desk height 30" X 8" internal depth (top) X 16.5" deep x45" wide

In very good condition with a lovely deep colour and patination to the mahogany oozing all the charm and character of the period.
