London Fine Antiques has dated this piece to the 1800s.
An exceptional and interesting large Georgian Library Bookcase presented in fine mahogany. At 7' 8" tall and just under 5' wide the piece is wonderfully sized.
The piece is substantially constructed and in great condition.
The oak lined drawers with brass backplate handles offer tremendous storage and are in perfect order in keeping with the rest of the piece.

To the upper cabinet a pair of well presented glazed doors open revealing four deep shelves all of which are fully adjustable for position. The generous depth of the interior allowing a book of 35cm (13.8") wide to be housed, or with smaller books a double depth row to be achieved.

Overall a very desirable George lll piece in fine order. A classic English antique which offers tremendous style & history, as well as being a functional item of furniture.
