Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.

Commemorative spoons featuring specific dog breeds gained popularity in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, often produced for kennel clubs, shows, or breed enthusiasts as presentation pieces and trophies.

These items were typically crafted from solid sterling silver using traditional silversmithing techniques, including stamping, hand-engraving, and official assay office hallmarking to denote purity and origin.

Authenticity is verified through stamped hallmarks on the metal, which typically include a makers mark, the lion passant for sterling silver, the town mark for Sheffield, and a date letter corresponding to the specific year of production.

Small silver collectibles can be displayed within glass-fronted cabinets, mounted in shallow shadow boxes, or styled neatly on tabletops to add historical texture and personalized character to a room.

Antique silver should be cleaned infrequently using a specialist non-abrasive silver polish and a soft cloth to maintain its patina, avoiding harsh dips that can strip the original surface finish.
