We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

A spinning fob is a decorative pendant originally designed to suspend from a pocket watch chain, featuring a central hardstone or seal that swivels on an axis within a metal frame.

Victorian fobs were commonly crafted from 9ct, 15ct, or 18ct gold, as well as sterling silver, frequently set with hardstones such as bloodstone, carnelian, onyx, or agate.

Authentic pieces usually feature British hallmarks indicating the gold purity, assay office, and date letter, along with hand-finished wirework, swivel mechanisms, and period-typical stone settings.

A spinning fob can be worn as a pendant on a contemporary gold chain, attached to an Albert swivel clasp, or layered alongside modern charms on a necklet.

Wipe the gold and stone gently with a soft dry lint-free cloth, avoiding liquid submersion or chemical cleaners that could loosen the stone or damage the swivel mechanism.
