Art Deco silver jewellery from the 1920s and 1930s typically features geometric outlines combined with stylized naturalistic motifs, such as flora and fauna. Silversmiths during this era emphasised clean lines, symmetrical forms, and polished surfaces.

Danish silversmithing predominantly utilised sterling silver, marked with hallmarks such as 925S to indicate purity. Pieces often featured cast or hand-chased decorative elements set within constructed silver wire frames.

Authentic Georg Jensen pieces feature specific makers marks, hallmarks, and design reference numbers stamped on the reverse. The stamps vary by production era, typically including the makers logo alongside purity marks like 925S or STERLING.

A silver geometric brooch can be worn on coat lapels, pinned to a silk scarf, or attached to a structured handbag. Positioning the piece on heavy wool coats or tailored blazers highlights its linear geometry against textured fabrics.

Silver brooches should be gently cleaned using a soft microfibre cloth designed for precious metals. Avoid chemical dips that strip intentional oxidisation in low-relief areas, and store the item in a tarnish-resistant pouch.
