Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. This French barware set from the mid-twentieth century comprises a three-piece cocktail shaker and eight matching stemmed goblet glasses in silver-plated metal with a bright silver colour. The pieces display an Art Deco style with clean tapered profiles, a faceted body on the shaker, conical bowls on the goblets, and a stepped cap. Maker's marks for Christofle appear on the shaker and goblets, alongside the OC balance mark, an OC chess piece, and the word France. The cocktail shaker measures 8 cm in diameter by 21.5 cm in height, while each goblet measures 7.5 cm in diameter by 8.5 cm in height, giving a total weight of 1.4 kg. Today, this set suits placement on a sideboard top or a cocktail trolley for entertaining guests or for display within a dining room or living space. The set presents in excellent vintage condition with light signs of use in keeping with age, maintaining clean surfaces and very good silver plate with a few marks and light scratches.

FAQs

Art Deco cocktail shakers, emerging in the 1920s and 1930s, are characterised by geometric silhouettes, streamlined profiles, and polished metal finishes reflecting modern industrial aesthetics.

Vintage cocktail sets were predominantly crafted from electroplated nickel silver, sterling silver, or chrome-plated metal, offering a durable and reflective finish suitable for liquid service.

Authentic pieces typically bear makers marks, hallmarks, or manufacturer stamps on the base, along with characteristic geometric proportions and signs of age-appropriate patina or wear.

A silver cocktail set can be styled on a drinks cart, sideboard top, or tray within a living area or dining space to create a functional focal point.

Clean silver plated items using a non-abrasive silver polish applied with a soft microfibre cloth, then wash gently with mild soapy water and dry immediately to prevent oxidisation.
