A Group of 4 Antique Turkish Bags & Kilim Rugs.

Description

Having a clear out so these four items are grouped together not splitting them all four sold together.

1. Turkish flat weave cicim brocaded rug with an arrow pointer design. 5 foot by 3 foot 1. 153cm X 95cm. 2nd quarter 20th century.

2. Turkish grain sack with six octagon design to the front and a striped back. 3 foot 10 inches by 2 foot 6 inches. 118cm X 77cm. 2nd quarter 20th century.

3. Turkish kilim fragment. Circa 1920s. 3 foot 10 inches X 3 foot 1 inches. 118cm X 95cm.

4. Smaller kilim fragment. Circa 1880-1900. 2 foot 9 inches by 2 foot 7 inches. 84cm X 79cm.

All four items are all wool construction and in good condition.

U.k post £22 all four items.

Price £225 gbp. Should cover a few floor areas in your home at minimum expense or wall mount a couple of them.

This group comprises four antique Turkish flatweave rugs and bags originating from the late nineteenth to the early twentieth century in an Anatolian tribal style. Constructed entirely from wool, the collection displays multicolour tones including pink, orange, green, blue, brown, black, and cream. The individual pieces exhibit various traditional elements such as geometric diamond medallions, arrow pointers, six octagon designs, zig-zag borders, slit-weave flatweave, and fringed edges, alongside striped backs and fragment sections. The largest piece measures 153 cm high, 95 cm wide, and 1 cm deep. Suitable for covering multiple floor areas in a living room, hallway, or bedroom at minimum expense, several of these textiles can also be wall-mounted as decorative hangings to add vibrant colour and texture to an interior space.
