Antique Russian Silver Pencil Holder

1900 - 1920
Description

A good example of a solid silver pencil holder. It is beautifully decorated with holly leaves and berries and there is a small loop on the end for attaching to a fob chain or chatelaine. It even comes with a pencil!

It is clearly hallmarked with a Russian mark for .84 silver and the stamp dates it to pre 1908.

It is in very good condition for its age. There are some small dinks and minor surface marks and general signs of age and use but no major damages and it displays well. It has been lightly cleaned and polished and is ready for use.
