An Edwardian Mahogany Chippendale Revival Bookcase Bureau C1900

Description

An Edwardian Mahogany Chippendale revival bookcase bureau dating from around 1900. This wonderful peice has a dental moulded cornice with a wide lip underneath. It has two Astrigal glazed doors with a Brass door divider and key and two fully adjustable shelves inside. The base has a fall front which has a large oval moulded panel and a key. Inside is an assistant pigeon holes and small drawers with pen tray and original glass ink wells with a leather writing surface. Three long Mahogany lined drawers follow with original Brass handles. It is moulded around the bottom and stands on cabriole legs carved to the shoulder on a claw and ball foot. The top lifts off for ease of movement.
