Vintage Amethyst Drop Earrings 9ct Gold Hallmarked 1968, Victorian Style with Shepherds Hooks

A charming pair of 1968 amethyst drop earrings, beautifully crafted in 9ct yellow gold in an elegant Victorian-inspired style.

Each earring is set with a rich purple oval cabochon amethyst, measuring approximately 11mm x 8.5mm. The smooth domed stones are bezel set within an attractive decorative gold surround, giving the earrings a wonderfully traditional appearance.

The amethysts have a lovely depth of colour which contrasts beautifully with the warm tone of the yellow gold.

Suspended from classic shepherd's hook fittings, the earrings have a graceful movement when worn and are suitable for pierced ears.

The reverse of both earrings is fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1968, together with the maker's initials H.C.W, confirming their period and gold fineness.
