Art Deco Sterling Silver & Faux Tortoiseshell Vanity Set

An elegant five-piece English vanity set from the Art Deco period, crafted in sterling silver and faux tortoiseshell.

Made by F.H. Adams & Co, each piece is fully hallmarked for Birmingham, 1923. The set includes a hand mirror, two hairbrushes, and two clothes brushes — all featuring rich faux tortoiseshell panels inlaid with silver pique wreath motifs. The sterling silver mounts are finely shaped and clearly stamped.

Mirror: 26 x 13 cm

Hairbrushes: 23 x 7 cm

Clothes brushes: 16 x 4.5 cm

In good vintage condition with light surface wear consistent with age. Minor bristle thinning to one brush and a small loss to the silver rim of the mirror, as shown. Hallmarks clear throughout.
